iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus officially launched into the global market through the Far Out event on Wednesday (7/9).
Before the launch, fans of Apple products have received a number of leaks of the appearance of the iPhone 14. The leaks include the color of the iPhone 14 which is predicted to be present in green, purple, blue, black, white, and red.
"The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have very interesting features," said Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, at the launch.
For connectivity, Apple brought two updates with its iPhone 14 lineup namely the satellite and eSIM versions. The former required Apple to design entirely new hardware and software orders to make sending messages to satellite possible without a bulky antenna.
This service is text-only and will be used primarily for emergency needs, but it can support two-way communication. So, the user will receive a notification when the emergency help he asks for immediately comes to him. The Find My app will also be able to share your location with friends so they can stay tuned.
While the new eSIM feature will be available in the United States. Apple boasts the ability to quickly swap between multiple eSIMs and add provider without visiting one of their offices. The device supports dual eSIM.
What is an eSIM on iPhone?
eSIM is a digital SIM that allows you to activate a cellular plan from a provider without a physical nano-SIM. Learn how to set up an eSIM, transfer a SIM, what to do if you can't set it up, and how to delete an eSIM, if needed.
You can install multiple eSIM profiles on an eSIM-enabled iPhone. If your iPhone is unlocked, you can subscribe to multiple cellular plans.
How to Activate AT&T eSIM on iPhone 14
You can transfer your eSIM if both phones are eSIM compatible. Here's how:
- Start at Bring Your own Device. https://www.att.com/buy/byod/
- Choose Move my number to a different device.
